hmn, I'm compiling the debian packages on debian lenny (testing).

Most of my libs are up to date, and yes, you might want to consider updating ubuntu, afaik the newest ubuntu and debian lenny should be pretty compatible .

The problem is that I'm not able to compile a package without requirements with the new method needed for setting up the apt repo.

Any ideas are welcome.

EDIT: I've compiled a wine 1.0 rc1 with checkinstall for your pleasure, it wont be on the apt repo though.
It can be found here: http://neo2k.dk/neo2k/apt/checkinstalls/wine-1.0_rc1-1_i386.deb

EDIT2: I've compiled another deb package on a debian etch qemu virtual machine, I'd like to hear about wether it works in ubuntu gutsy or not.
If it works, that'll be my prefered way of making packages in the future.

Thanks for the .deb and the repo! but I have a problem this time, have you updated your system libraries or something?.

I can still install your wine 0.9.61 with no problems, but not this one.

Take a look:

vlad@Auro2:~$ sudo apt-get install --allow-unauthenticated wine
Leyendo lista de paquetes... Hecho
Creando árbol de dependencias
Leyendo la información de estado... Hecho

******************************************
  wine: Depende: libasound2 (> 1.0.16) pero 1.0.14-1ubuntu8 va a ser instalado
        Depende: libc6 (>= 2.7-1) pero 2.6.1-1ubuntu10 va a ser instalado
Depende: libldap-2.4-2 (>= 2.4.7) pero no es instalable
E: Paquetes rotos
******************************************
--------------------------------------

It seems you had updated yours libasound2, libc6 and libldap.

I'm using Ubuntu 7.04, seems that each day I more forced to update to 8.04 :\

Thank you anyway :)

Actually I did some googling on setting up a repo myself, which I consider possible, I'll update on that later when I get some sparetime to put into it, I'll keep you updated ;)

I'm happy to see that my packages are actually helping others, I'll keep updating wine whenever a new update comes out.

EDIT: I've made a repo, more info can be found here: http://neo2k.dk/blog/?page_id=69
It is currently only being used for wine, moreover I need to get gpg-key signing to work etc, but the package works and I will update the repo whenever a new release of wine comes out.

Hi!, I just want to thank you for the .deb package, Scott Richie (oficial WINE's deb package mantainer) has been slow with it's packages.

I had been using yours for 0.9.60 and 0.9.61, could you consider the idea of making a "neo2k.dk" repositorie for WINE ?, that would be great!.

btw, thank you for the package, it's just that in my Celeron 766Mhz takes ages to compile it :(
